What do broken thrift store plates, an old tea cart, mastic, grout and patience make? A lovely garden cart! I broke plates purchased at a thrift store for a few dollars and laid them out on an old tea cart I found at a local antique dealer. My handy husband laid out the tile "glue" on a piece of wood he cut out to fit the top of the tea cart (in case I ever want to change it out it simply lifts out) We then placed the broken nieces here and there, no rhyme or reason at this point. Once it was set he filled in with an amazing looking sandy colored sealer/grout. I love the "washed up from the ocean broken glass" look I wasn't expecting. What do you think?
